Viral Video Sparks Debate Over Police Escort
Popular YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav recently found himself in the middle of a controversy after a video from his vlog went viral. Yadav was in Jaipur, Rajasthan, for the shooting of his new song when his video showed Rajasthan Police’s 112 helpline vehicle escorting him. This footage quickly gained attention, raising questions about whether the police officially provided security to him or if Yadav simply followed police vehicles to create the impression of a VIP escort. The Rajasthan Police, however, has firmly denied providing him any special security.

Questions Raised Over Police Security Protocol
Elvish Yadav shared a vlog titled “Full Protocol in Rajasthan” on his YouTube channel, showcasing three Rajasthan Police vehicles accompanying his car:
- A blue Chetak-14 patrol vehicle, which reportedly escorted him from Patrika Gate to his hotel.
- A white 112 helpline vehicle, which was replaced by other police vehicles while traveling from Jaipur to Sambhar.
- Another white police vehicle, which a friend of Yadav’s referred to as a “permanent escort vehicle” meant to stay with him until Gurugram.
According to Yadav, security arrangements involved personnel from nearly 10 to 15 police stations. The video even captured an incident at a Bagru toll plaza, where an officer allegedly opened the VIP route for his vehicle. After reaching Jaipur, Yadav thanked the Rajasthan Police, further fueling the debate over whether he was given official protection.

In response to the viral video, Additional Commissioner Rameshwar Singh dismissed the claim that Elvish Yadav was granted police security. The police clarified that:
- The 112 helpline vehicle is designated for emergency response, not personal escorts.
- Chetak patrol vehicles are used for local security and not for celebrity convoys.
- Providing a police escort requires approval from the Commissionerate, which was not obtained in this case.
The police suggested that Yadav may have followed their vehicles intentionally to create an impression of special treatment. This denial has sparked further controversy, with many questioning how the footage in the vlog came to be if no official escort was provided.
Legal Action and Public Reactions
The controversy took a legal turn when an FIR was lodged against Elvish Yadav at the cyber police station for allegedly spreading false information and tarnishing the image of Rajasthan Police. The footage also featured Krishnavardhan Singh, son of former Rajasthan minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, who discussed the police escort while driving Yadav’s vehicle. The minister’s son mentioned that the local police station had provided the vehicle, contradicting the official police statement.

On social media, reactions have been divided. Yadav’s fans see the controversy as proof of his influence, while critics accuse him of attempting to fabricate a VIP status. Others believe that if the police indeed escorted him, there should be transparency regarding the circumstances.
As the debate continues, the Rajasthan Police has assured an investigation into the matter. Whether Yadav deliberately staged the escort scene or if there was an unofficial arrangement remains a mystery that the authorities must resolve. Meanwhile, this incident serves as a reminder of the fine line between reality and social media perception in today’s digital world.
